I've been rummaging through the newspaper archives again recently and have found some interesting things, which I'll post about here in the course of time.
Here is one interesting item I found about Greville Janner from the Times on 3 April 1976.
There is quite a lot of interesting material about Janner. What's very striking is that almost every newspaper article in which he is mentioned, every intervention he makes, every letter he writes, relates in some way to Jews or Israel, or, as here, children. He nominally represented Leicester West but seems to have seen it as his mission to represent Israel, in the broadest sense. It's worthy of note that Leicester is now believed to be the first Afro-Asian majority city in Britain.
