According to the "Welt am Sonntag", the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) [Federal Criminal Investigations Office] is investigating ten cases in which there are indications that asylum seekers from Syria may have been members of a terrorist group or involved in war crimes. "There are ten cases in which we are examining a suspicion that someone was involved in war crimes or is a member of a terrorist group," the newspaper cites a BKA spokeswoman as saying. In total, the BKA has received around 100 reports of suspected terrorists or war criminals.
