Tents springing up like mushrooms, new migrants arriving each day. "Even the traffickers are overwhelmed," says one volunteer who doesn't know where to turn next. The Grande-Synthe camp, close to Dunkirk, is hosting 800 migrants, including families with children. To deal with a situation that becomes more complicated each day, the mayor, Damien Carême (Greens), announced the imminent installation of furnished containers. In total, 800 migrants will be able to enjoy a minimum of comfort. Electrical sockets, WiFi, 24 showers are due to be installed.
