Mobilised for three months in Montpellier, mothers of pupils of Moroccan origin denounce an educational ghettoisation. And are starting to be heard by the authorities. "No to the ghetto, yes to mixing."
"These four schools have around 600 children, all of Moroccan origin, just like the population of Petit Bard, almost exclusively of Moroccan origin," says Safia, one of the mothers involved in this struggle...We want our children, French citizens, to be considered and educated like the others. How can you expect them to feel French when they grow up exclusively among their own kind? In the class photos we'd like there to be little blonde and red-haired children sitting beside them."
