In France, even the mainstream press was forced to report upon the widespread failure to respect the minute of silence held in French schools for the victims of the Charlie Hebdo massacre. Many Muslim pupils openly gloated about the attacks and refused to honour the victims. To remedy the problem, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls plans to introduce new citizenship courses to the school curriculum.
In Berlin, the charred body of 19-year-old Maria P. was found in a wooded area by someone walking their dog. Pregnant, she had been stabbed several times in the belly then burnt alive. Her ex-boyfriend and his friend, said to be of Turkish immigrant origin, have been arrested and have confessed to the crime.
Throughout Germany, leftists and immigrants had been marching demanding justice for Khaled Idris Bahray, an asylum seeker who was found stabbed to death. Banners like "Racism kills" were being prominently displayed. This looked like turning into another of the Stephen Lawrence-style causes celebres the multicultists like to use to advance their agenda. Protests and propaganda immediately ceased, however, when another African asylum seeker was arrested and charged with the crime.
Jews sojourning in Britain express fears about attacks on them and are listened to sympathetically by fawning politicians, despite there having been no significant attacks on Jews in the UK and the typically hysterical Jewish talk about "like the 1930s" being recognised, even by some Jews, as preposterous. When Europeans express similar fears about the consequences of African and Asian colonisation, however, they are told this is a sign of their pathology and wickedness.
Following the Charlie Hebdo attacks, additional security has been deployed to a church in Bologna, after fears were expressed that a fresco there, which depicts the Bandit Mohammed burning in hell, might become a jihad target.
The Charlie Hebdo attacks gave rise to some suggestions in Australia that the plan to liberalise hate speech laws, which was abandoned last year following a successful Jewish lobbying campaign, should be revived. Predictably, Jews immediately mobilised to demand that no such thing should happen. The Counterjihad movement, despite extensively covering Muslim threats to free speech, saw no reason to mention this one.
In Lyons, Damien Rieu, of Génération Identitaire, is charged with "inciting hatred, discrimination" for distributing soup exclusively to homeless people of French ethnic origin.
