Yesterday, Usman H. (18), armed with two kitchen knives and an iron bar, ran into the building of the integration school in Leubnitzer Straße. Police spokesman Marko Laske (40) said: "He spoke about Islamist ideas in front of the pupils of a class and fiddled around with the weapons."
The Pakistani former pupil had already entered the school repeatedly days before and had threatened female pupils and the director. However he fled and hid before the police came.
According to BILD's information, the perpetrator yesterday threatened to kill his former female classmates. But this time the police were able to nab the Pakistani on Pirnaischen Straße.
"A judge issued an arrest order for attempted serious assault and threatening behaviour," says Senior State Prosecutor Lorenz Haase (54) to BILD. "The man is now in custody in the penal institute in Hammerweg."

  1. French 'burqa ban' legal, court rules

THE EUROPEAN Court of Human Rights has today upheld a French law that bans Muslim women from wearing a full face veil in public

The ruling comes days after one of France's highest courts upheld the 2008 sacking of Fatima Afif, a worker at a Paris kindergarten, for wanting to wear a headscarf to work
