A police officer was lightly wounded on the knee by a blow from a knife while trying to arrest a man in a state of drunkenness who was threatening passers-by in Toulouse, according to a police source.
The man aged 41 was wandering in the centre of the city shortly after midnight today. He threatened passers-by while branding a knife and declaring that "he didn't like white people", according to the same source. When the police came to arrest him, one of them was wounded in the knee. His wound was superficial, added the same source. The man, who said he was of Congolese origin, was placed under arrest.
