61.8% of Germans, 69.7% of French, and 77.5% of British people would "be in favour" or "quite in favour" of an initiative "against mass immigration". In Germany the number of those in favour of freedom of movement for persons without reservations is less than one third of those entitled to vote, in France around one fifth, in England only 15% of the population. This is the result of a representative poll conducted by the Swiss market research institute Isopublic on behalf of BLICK. It shows that the uneasiness of the population with regards to uncontrolled labour immigration is much more widespread in the core EU lands than in Switzerland.
